Materials - Acrylic yarn, Multi layered felt balls.
The story of this scarf is written below the pictures :)

I already had these multi layered felt balls for years when I came across some yarn matching its color pattern. When thinking about how to combine these items together I was unable to think of a way to keep them connected securely without penetrating the felt balls. I would need a hollow needle that could pierce through the balls yet was also wide enough to slip yarn through. A regular needle wouldn't work because the friction of the material going through the felt ball would destroy the yarn. I didn't even know at the time if hollow needles existed, they do so I thought a colorful scarf would be the best way to use and display these materials together. I also needed a 'big eye beading needle' to successfully place the yarn through and then pull that needle through the hallow needle as simply pushing or pulling the yarn through by hand was not possible. Over 50 different colors of yarn were used as I also tried to make the design unique by adding the option of a hands being slipped though near the ends of the scarf.
