       While traveling in Taiwan I entered some bead stores to find these compressed sea shells of a natural creamy color and the brightly dyed agate beads.  When traveling abroad I always have to buy more material than I think I might need because I wont return to this place again. Its better to have a surplus than not enough to complete a project as this necklace required a very large quantity of beads.  

       When purchasing these beads I had no idea how I would use them or what they would be combined with.  My inventory at home already included a separator bar with 8 holes so I attempted to design a cool pattern. Upon starting I had an idea of the style, but this had to be designed as it was being made since every row is a different length with varied spacing to align the colorful agate beads.
